Hey there my lovely followers,
So a few week ago I picked up Nivea Express Hydration Primer (in the blue cap) for Normal/Combination Skin and I must admit that I have been loving the feeling that it gives my skin. So, obviously I had to come to the place where I share my thoughts with you and review the product.
I must admit I was a bit skeptical to try this out as I do tend to gravitate towards silicone based primers, however after trying the Nivea Express Hydration Primer I must admit I am quite liking this type of texture primer.
This particular Nivea product comes in two options that of Dry/Sensitive and Normal/Combination Skin. I choose the latter because even though my skin tends to be dry in certain areas (especially the cheek area) I felt that the combination part of the cream was going to be more helpful for me.
The packaging might be a bit misleading, since box look much bigger than the pot, however having said that the pit is of 50ml which is quite generous amount of product. Also, I quite fancied, the chunky glass pot which I personally think gives it a more high end feel.
The primer has a gel-like feel consistency. Felt like, if you were to mix your moisturiser with a normal primer this is the effect you get. Another thing I really liked about this primer is the light and fresh feeling it gives your skin. In my younger days used to love using Nivea products and like any other Nivea the trademark cucumber-y scent is persistent as well in this product.
As amount to be applied, a little bit of product goes a long way as it really slides onto the skin with ease and also dries very fast.
I am really enjoying using this product and have been picking it more than my other primers because it sinks in so quickly (I’d say less than a minute) and leaves the skin smooth and really soft. If it’s just for a daytime look, I’ll use this one product instead of a separate moisturiser and primer, perfect for when you’re doing a bit of a rushed job (pretty much every day for me).
It also make the perfect base for foundation and keeps everything in place for most of the day, obviously, as long as I’m not doing anything particularly sweaty or strenuous.
In a nutshell, Nivea Daily Essentials Express Hydration Primer is definitely something to have on your makeup shelf, especially as it’s so not expensive. Also, when I think of Nivea I think of good skincare products and I have been loving using it.
I do highly recommend it and genuinely I don’t mind doing so as the product is not pricey as some primers tend to be so there, thumbs up and a definite re-purchase.
Until next time,
