Favorites #3 | March

DSCF2123Hi there lovelies,

How are things with you, and so here we are, another month off the calendar.  Hard to believe it but yea that’s the harsh reality.  Life is getting faster by the second but let’s get back to this month’s favorites.

Estée Lauder Doublewear in the shade 1N2 Ecru
Oh you guys … I know I have said many a times that I am more into drugstore brands and I will forever stick to that statement, however, I wanted to own a high end foundation for my special occasion makeup days and I am SO excited to put this one in my favorites for this month!  If you’re as obsessed with makeup as I am, or watch tons of YouTube tutorials, you’ll often hear the term “holy grail” thrown around.  Very VERY seldom do I find my holy grail anything — this being because I buy a lot of make up and continuously switch routine!

I love it for those special occasion days as it has a great wear – it looks perfect from the moment you apply it till the time you have to take it off.  Needless to say I do recommend a primer since it’s of heavier consistency and a primer will always prevent foundation from settling in fine lines or pores. Comes in a nice range of shades that are easy to filter through.  My favorite way to apply is using a beauty blender because it thins it out a tiny bit and really pushes it nicely into the skin. The real seller is that it looks good in person honestly skin looks so nice when I wear it.

Flormar Radiance Primer and highlighter
I know I am on repetitive binge here but hey when you got manage to find a good product and love it so much why not show your appreciation.  I mean this bad boy is just awesome on its own it gives a nice, healthy glow to your skin.  Used under your foundation it help it radiate more.  I just love love love it.  If you would like to read more check out my full review here.

Tresemme heat activated treatment
This treatment is the final step is TRESemmé’s set for the 7 Day Keratin Smooth Treatment.  Ideally used with the other suggested two products, but I used it with my current shampoo and conditioner as it worked just as well, probably not to it’s complete effectiveness but I was happy with the end result.  Treatment needs to be used after you wash and condition your hair, towel dry for a bit, and then apply a few pumps of this treatment.

One of the great things about this product is that you only have to use it once a week (or every three washes), since the results last throughout several washings. I have to admit, I was really skeptical of this product however, I was really impressed with the results! After using this treatment, I was amazed by how shiny and healthy my hair looked! Maybe there really is something to this keratin trend after all.

COTY Airspun Loose Face Powder in Translucent Extra Coverage
First of all this stuff has been around since 1935 and for me when I hear about something that has been on the market for that long and is still being sold must be good right!  I simply love this powder because it sets my makeup flawlessly leaving my face looking matte for a good portion of the day.

I have  been using it for a few weeks and I’ve have worn it over a full face of makeup and also just as I was running out the door and needed something on my face, it works great for both.  It’s also said to be comparable to Laura Mercier loose powder. This powder only comes in a handful of colors ranging from neutral to peach to honey, but I got mine in translucent, since it’s just easier rather than trying to color match. I also picked up the extra coverage because I thought it may help more with my oily parts on my face, but it does also come in normal coverage.

Made out of an exclusive Microspun formula where loose powder particles are spun and swirled until they reach cloudlike softness.” It is super soft but also very natural looking with a very distinct perfume smell that doesn’t bother me since after a few minutes you can’t smell it anymore. It also comes with a white puffer to apply it with, but I always feel like those just get in the way. I typically apply this with just an all over face powder brush for a quick application but definitely it stays on nicely if applied with a damp makeup sponge. Finish is flawless and priceless. I can definitely see myself using this for years to come.

Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip brow pomade in Dark Brown
I have been wishing for the ABH Dipbrow Pomade for as long as I can remember, so when my partner offered to buy it for me for Valentines I was super excited.  The Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade comes in a small glass bottle that is pretty heavy and wide. The design reminds me of any gel eyeliner available in the market. On the cap there is the Anastasia Beverly Hills logo that is a represented as a beautiful typography of a letter of A, that has butterfly shape.

It was very hard to choose the colour online, I practically was confused so I deceided to go with my guts and got the shade Dark Brown however I was sad to find out that this colour is darker when I apply.  I still use it but I might have to reorder a shade lighter.

However, as a product it’s really amazing, really creamy, easy to use, pigmented, long lasting, waterproof, and very buildable. It is very smooth and you can easily draw with. The longevity is remarkable, one of the best pomade I tried.  Although a bit pricey, you only need a little bit of product for your eyebrow so one jar will go a long way and if used daily surely it will last a good six months!
So there you have it, third installment done and dusted. Hope you enjoyed it 🙂

Will see you back here next month.

Until next time,
