Hey there my lovelies,
So, for this year I decided as much as I could I would starting new topics on my blog, it’s started with the monthly favorites and now it’s recipes and it was only fitting to start it now.
A few days ago, I got a note from my little boy school advising parents that they will be running a cake competition 🙂 So after much deliberation I chose to go for the Banana cake bread and here is the recipe:
150g Wheat flour
1tsp baking powder
Pinch of salt
2 bananas (ripe)
Mash bananas until you get a nice mixture
Shift the flour, baking powder and salt on a parchment paper
In a mixing bowl Mix room temp. butter and sugar by using a hand mixer
Add the eggs in one by one and continue mixing
Add the shifted ingredients slowly and continue mixing
Add the mashed bananas and continue mixing
Preheat oven at 170 degrees
Continue mixing mixture until all ingredients turn into a nice batter
Spray bread tin and pour batter
Tap the container a couple of times so that batter is evenly distributed
Bake for approximately 45mins
It’s definitely something I will be doing more often and you can also serve it up with some ice-cream or whipped cream for that little bit of extra flavour.
For school purposes I left it just as it came out of the oven.
