Hey there my lovelies,
I have got a bonus post for you guys on a SUNDAY 🙂 I am back with an outfit post which I know they been MIA on my blog 😦 … reason being, I do not have someone who can snap my outfit pictures (I do miss Fashion Week with all the great photographers around). Anyways, Saturday 23rd July I was asked to attend the Gran Gala Della Moda 2016 and here’s how it all came together.
When I got the initial email I was in panic state (honestly!!!) as I had nothing to wear, this time for real as I do not get invited to gala events that often! Of course in my mind I knew I was going to turn to Gaetano (Couture by Gaetano) for some help and he came to the rescue with yet another creation (a new one too!!). The only thing he asked me was if I liked blue and I was sold. I mean the colour is beautiful. A blackless cobalt midi dress, with very beautiful embellishing and beads on one side with drapping lace too!!! I was in love the minute I saw it. Needless to say I felt every bit beautiful in Gaetano’s creation. I cannot thank him enough for coming through with this beauty.
The Makeup and Hair
I knew Marlene was a hair dresser when she moved next door to me. However, I came to know that she’s also an MUA when I met her during last May’s Malta Fashion week and awards. Looking through her facebook page I really liked her work, so when she kindly offered to do my hair and makeup for the Gala night I was too eager to accept, you know me I like being dolled up and what better way to be dolled up by an accredited MUA that worked in many of the shows last May and on various renowned photo shoots. I liked the whole look she came up with, loved the smokey glittery eye and the effortless hair up do. The whole look came together perfectly. I highly recommend Marlene as she knew exactly what suited me best. Also, on a side note she is very fast and I quite liked that too.
Shoes and Accessories
Well back in May during Fashion week besides the shows, one is there to network and make new acquaintances and on one particular day I was lucky enough to have met Juliana Romeiko who is Aldo Malta Brand Manager. So needless to say I plucked up the courage to ask her to start a blogger-brand relationship and what better way to start this relationship then ask for a sponsorship for the Gala Night, so when Juliana reciprocate, I was over the moon.
The choice was not too hard with regard to the colour but style was another story as there were quite a few from which to choose from. After much thought, final choice went for the nude/gold strappy ankle sandal that complimented the dress so well. For clutch I chose a small gold chain one together with a gold ring.
Once again, I could not have attended the night, with out the help of all the sponsors mentioned in this post for which sponsorship I thank them all, for making me feel so much special.
