Favourites #16 | March 2K17

Hey there my lovelies,

Welcome back to my Blog!

Third month for this year done and dusted too but just for this time around I will not be complaining as April sees me off to Rome so I cannot wait for that to come by!

So here are the items I have been loving this last month …. soooooo let’s this post start rolling 🙂

Light Denim court shoes and Denim jeans
You know I am obsessing on anything (everything) denim related …. I mean my #trending post for this season is all about this 🙂 I got both the denim pumps and the embroidered jeans from Zellas Image and I have been loving them, besides being very comfortable, I just love the embroidered motif in the jeans which as you know I am loving for this season 🙂 #denimforlife.  I have a few items purchased from Zellas and I love getting items from there.  Overall experience is amazing, good price and good quality clothing, shoes and accessorize – worth checking out 🙂

Garnier Extra Gentle Micellar wipes
I have never tried facial micellar wipes before and so, when I saw them I had to get them. The wipes come in a light pink pack that has a flap open on the top. I like that the opening is small, thus preventing the wipes from drying.  Another plus for these wipes is that they are so so soft and moist.

The wipes remove my foundation effectively.  However, when it comes to heavy makeup, you would need at least 2 wipes to get everything removed or use ease by the process by using an eye make-up remover.  The wipes also effectively remove waterproof mascara and lipstick stains. Totally +++

Garnier SkinActive Oil-Infused Micellar Cleansing Water
I love using micellar waters to remove my makeup as they’re just so fuss-free and easy to use before I go ahead and do my second cleanse with a proper cleanser. I have been using the original Garnier Micellar Water for a while now which I really like it but when I came the Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water for dry and sensitive skin, which is basically my skin at the moment, I was intrigued to see how it would compare to the typical micellar water.

The Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water is formulated with nourishing oils and cleansing agents which work together to capture all impurities like a magnet and lift away dirt from the skin whilst the oils dissolve the makeup and nourish the skin. The bottle contains 400ml like the original Garnier Micellar Water, and you can clearly see the golden coloured oil and the clear micellar water within the bottle.

The Garnier Micellar Oil-Infused Cleansing Water removed all traces of my makeup very quickly, left my skin feeling incredibly smooth, soft and nourished and I even find that it calms any redness or inflammation I might be experiencing too. This oil-infused formula is a bit more expensive than the original micellar water formula but it’s worth it in my opinion and it has now become my absolute favourite micellar water.

Maxfactor Pan Stik in shade 12 – True Beige
I have wanting this try a stick form foundation for a while now and when I finally came across the Maxfactor one, I was all over the stand to find my shade.  It took me a while to decide as I was in between two colours but I settled for True Beige and I am happy with the choice.

So first first things first, the packaging, I like it it’s very cute and handy.  Easy to carry around.  It does have a talcum powder smell which is quite strong but does not linger once applied.  Texture is creamy and rich . Consistency is thick, which means you need to blend well and gives maximum coverage, however I was pleased to see that it retains a very natural look on the face. It’s easy to apply and one swipe of the stick goes a long way.  I applied foundation with a brush but I did tap the with a damp sponge to set it into a smooth and dewy finish.
Although it does not specify, but it works great as an under eye concealer. Yep, yep, yep I said it – it works amazing as a concealer to hide under eye circles. I also liked that it conceals fine lines and wrinkles. It never gives the ‘cakey’ look which can sometimes happen with full coverage foundations.  With regards to the lasting performance, it wears well for a good 8hrs.
That’s about it and what I have been loving for the month of March – care to share your faves? Really would love to see what you have been loving.

Until next time,
XOXO
