Travel post #2 | Time to prep the luggage

Hey there my  lovelies,

Welcome back to my Blog!

It’s time to bring out the notebook and start jotting down the checklist of what I will be taking with me (as in me I really mean me and my two boys) for Rome.

From what I have gathered with regards to the weather conditions in Rome for April, is that there is a good possibility that it will rain most of the time, especially around Easter time (spot on!).  It might also, be warm during the day if the sun is out but obviously it will get chillier at night.  So if you want to see what I have concluded then keep on reading.

First thing first, if you are travelling with Ryanair or Easyjet and you have a limited amount of luggage then I would suggest to avoid items like jumpers or thick jackets as they take too much space.

With regards to clothing attire, I decided to go for comfortable shoes (my trusted Stan Smiths made the cut too!) and layering is the choice of style, which is easy to style, comfortable AF, obviously cute, and oh-so-European!

Another must is a lightweight Mac that can be easily folded into your luggage and back pack, a small umbrella of course and tights.  During the day, when it might be warm, stick to a couple of layers, but do not forget the Mac or lightweight jacket for the cooler nights!

With regards to colour scheme even though it’s Sring stick to blacks, browns and nudes so you can have more outfit options. I will definitely add a couple of comfy dark coloured jeans, to go with my trainers and my brown flat boots.  Also at the last minute with my woolen scarf I included a couple of silk scarves to add a bit of an Italian vibe.

After all the clothing choices have been made, do not forget the essentials including toiletries and medication as you know they are important too 🙂

  • Passport
  • Travel insurance documents
  • Tickets/booking confirmations – flights, accommodation etc.
  • Bank cards and cash
  • Toothbrush and a small tube of toothpaste
  • Small roll-on deodorant
  • Hairbrush/accessories
  • Make-up – try to keep it to a minimal :/
  • Small moisturiser with SPF
  • Paracetamol
  • Plasters
  • Personal medication
  • Mobile phone/charger/headphones
  • Camera/charger
  • Travel adaptor
  • Sunglasses
  • Day bag/handbag

Oh that was so much fun – it’s been so long – I actually forgot how fun it is to pack your suitcase – obviously I am not a frequent flyer as I can only image that those who travel quite often might think otherwise – however it is still a fun thing to do and with my 4 year old helping it was a such a cute thing to do!

Until next time,
