Hey there my lovelies,
Welcome back to my Blog!
It finally arrived, the start of the 7th Edition of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week and what a start might I add. I must admit that after asking RoseMarie Abela to let me in on the inspiration of her collection, I was truly impressed to see it all come together as one.
As a whole the collection was truly in my comfort zone with a predominant monochrome colour palette with the right amounts of dark blue and gold accents. The choice of colours, does not come as a surprise that since the collection is inspired by the Mosta dome and it’s unique skyline which was nicely included on dresses and skirts.
I personally thought that the street style look shown which varied between play suits, high waist boxy pants that include detailed leather and flowing wool made the collection quite pleasant and wearable. If I had to choose a favourite look the sleeveless dark navy dress tops the list, but I did not mind the knitted dungaree which reflects the details and silhouette of the dome.
Also, I can like the space buns, statement dark lips and the thick black round glasses were all key elements bring together the whole collection look since it is inspired by Iris Apfel.
Well done RoseMarie an excellent collection deemed fit to those of us that do not mind stepping out of out comfort zone and try some thing different.
