Hey there my lovelies,
Welcome back to my Blog! Hope you are all having a good Sunday 🙂
Not a usual posting day for me but here I am with a special bonus post, an event post, one which has a special place in my heart as it is the C&R show. By now you all know that when these fantastic and talented duo showcase their runway show during New York Fashion week, I set my alarm to catch the live streaming and in fact I have already talked about this collection in another post which you can read, if you wish, here. However, I must admit that witnessing the collection up close and personal and seeing all the intricate detailing it’s just a truly magical experience all together and I am so glad I got to witness it. Cannot wait to stop by their shops in either Valletta or Attard to go and get me some goodies 🙂
In a nutshell C&R F/W 2017/2018 entitled Amare Argentum celebrates the silver anniversary of Charles & Ron as a couple and therefore the collection features a lot of silver and includes inspiration from the Maltese traditional craft of silver filigree shapes that can be seen printed on the in house designed fabrics and their trade mark striped fabrics was updated with the intricate filigree designs of dolphins and the 8 pointed cross. Once again Tiffany Pisani, opened the fashion show and yet again I was slayed by the whole outfit and OMG those boots … I reconfirm that I.NEED.THEM.IN.MY.LIFE!!! The whole collection screams youth, happiness, joy and the colour palette is beautiful to look at reminding us of the winter sea colour, out beautiful sunsets of pastel colours. Needles to say we loved the new bags styles and of course the beautiful filligree jewellery which was designed by Charles and Ron themselves and handcrafted by Sterling Jewellers.
Make Up was entrusted to the talented Jean Zammit and Jennifer Dimech using Inglot make-up. Hair was nicely done by Alexander Carabott and his team using L’Oreal. The event as per last year was in collaboration with the Birkirkara Local Council under the patronage of Mrs. Michelle Muscat for the Marigold Foundation which is an organisation, that recognises that there are already so many associations, entities and NGOs doing sterling work across the Maltese Islands. Their awareness campaigns, fundraising efforts and on-the-ground successes all contribute to improving lives and bettering our society. They are true pillars of the community and they deserve to be supported in as many ways as possible.
Now I leave to feast yourself on yet another stupendous collection and don’t forget to go check it out for yourself at the Flagship Store in Valletta and boutique shop at the Corinthia Palace in Attard.
Until next time,
