Hey there my lovelies,
Welcome back to my Blog!
I usually like to cover just the Oscars award night, being the #ultimate award show for us fashion enthusiasts, however the opening event for #2k18 award #season was a must this year because the STARS went for an ALL Black event supporting the #timesup cause! The 75th Golden Globes red carpet saw a parade of stunning dark gowns, all worn to show solidarity to ending sexual harassment.
I was glad that the A-listers nearly all showed showing solidarity with the “Me Too” movement and the “Time’s Up” campaign by wearing black gowns – making a sartorial protest against sexual harassment within the industry – a topic that has been heavily discussed since the claims against Harvey Weinstein emerged late last year.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashian’s star showed off her long legs in this beautiful Giambattista Valli strapless Tulle gown. The design is impeccable, show-stopping and a sight to behold – the multiple mesh layers added perfectly that extra bit of interest to the all-black dress code.
Catherine Zeta Jones
The beautiful British actress turned heads in a stunning Zuhair Murad couture gown. The lace design accentuated her great figure. The dress itself is so impeccable so much, the only accessorise she added to her lace gown were a pair of emerald chandelier earrings.
The sensational pleated gown design by Dior for their Spring 2017 collection ensured the actress cut a chic (and timeless) figure. The gown featured a black pleated tulle over a delicate pink under layer, channelling the perfect old school Hollywood glamour vibe. I love the nipped in strapless sweetheart bodice, combined with the full skirt which makes this look really red carpet worthy.
Angelina Jolie took to the red carpet in a dramatic feather detailed dress by Versace – the eye-catching number boasted a stunning and sheer neckline and large plume sleeves. .
Saving the best for last I must say that Dakota’s choice was absolutely fantastic. The velvet creation from Gucci with a VERY interesting back is just S.T.U.N.N.I.N.G.
So my lovelies, the Red Carpet / Awards season has kicked of with a loud bang both socially and fashionably, which I must admit I loved loved loved this all-black gowns dress code:). Will be looking forward to the next star studded event to catch up on the latest stories and gowns 🙂
Until next time
