#ICYMI #15 | Next up .. The Grammy’s and the BAFTA’s

Hey there my lovelies,

Welcome back to post two for today and it is within i self it is a 2 in 1 post since last night we had two red carpet events happening one after the other due to the time zone.  So the first part of this post I will be covering my fave’s red carpet looks from the 61st annual Grammys and then there will my most loled from the XXXX BAFTA awards.

Starting off with the music industry’s biggest night, celebrity headed to the Staples Center in Los Angeles where the show was happening.  The biggest names in the biz brought some fashion’s most memorable moments, and the stars didn’t disappoint.

Lady Gaga in Celine

Lady Gaga was nominated for both a BAFTA and a Grammy award, so it must’ve been a difficult decision to know which event to attend.  But she opted for the latter, and what a show-stopping statement she made in this custom Celine dress and Tiffany and Co jewellery.   Looking like the star she is, the stunning sparkling dress chosen from the designer’s SS19 collection, comes covered in embellished sequins for a shimmery look.  I loved the strapless design and the sexy thigh split which I think fit her perfectly.  Not a fan of the 3D ruffle detailing however it is an eye-cather. 9/10

Dua Lipa in Versace

The silver sequined gown with flowing train that she arrived wearing for the red carpet was nicely accessorised with Bulgari jewellery and crystal-encrusted nails, add to this the sweetheart neckline, sweeping train and you have the epitome of elegance and that tad more magical.  9/10

Jennifer Lopez in Charles & Russo

In my opinion best damn look of the night, the actress, singer and mother of two looked absolutely stunning a very dramatic head-to-toe look.  Totally in love with the gorgeous halter dress by Ralph & Russo accessorising dress to a massive hat. Both hat and dress were decked out in crystals, and showed off her ridiculously toned arms. 10/10

Camilla Cabello in Armani Privé

Camila Cabello looked like a walking valentine in this perfectly tailored Armani Privé confection completely covered in shimmering crystals. “Havana, ooh na-na?” More like, “Camila, oh là là!” 9/10

Alicia Keys in Armani Privé

Host Alicia Keys looks breathtaking beautiful in this beautiful red floor-length gown by Armani Prive.  The singer/songwriter was glowing as she walked the red carpet make-up free this evening.  Keys teamed the crimson gown with a dazzling diamond necklace and matching earrings.  I had to … this red gown screams, “this girl is on fire!” 10/10

On the other side of the globe, London rolled out the red carpet for the 72nd British Academy Film Awards.   While like it’s sister award show las year XXXX the majority of attendees opt for black ensembles in a show of solidarity with the Time’s Up movement, the red carpet at this year’s event witnessed a return to colour.

Rachel Weisz in Gucci

The Favourite star Rachel Weisz opted for a feminine gown with layered tulle, bardot neckline and a silver sequin-embellished waistband.  Bringing true elegance to the red carpet Weisz looked a vision in this frothy tulle creation by none other than Gucci.  The dreamy off-white shade makes the grow tres chic, and makes for a unique twist on the classic princess dress. 8/10

rachel-weisz BAFTA

Margot Robbie in Chanel

Margot certainly made a statement on the red carpet in an incredible monochrome number which featured a very beautiful  embellished body.  The defining feature of the garment proved to be the ruffled black shoulder detailing and matching hemline which showed a peek of her strappy heels.   Loved the whole look especially the actress’ blonde locks were piled high off her face and she added a slick of electric blue eyeliner to the bold look. 8/10

Margot Robbie BAFTA

Irina Shayk in Burberry

All eyes were on model Irina Shayk as she stepped out at the BAFTA Awards to support boyfriend Bradley Cooper. The model shunned in a beautifully tailored Burberry suit – I mean this is spot on in my eyes. It screams classy but a sexy undertone with the blazers plunging neckline. Look was complete with embellished mules that added the necessary glam to the look. 10/10

Irina Shayk BAFTA

Maya Jama in Aadnevik

Radio host Maya Jama looked a picture of elegance in a black lace maxi dress .The presenter is normally one to work an athleisure look that is usually bursting with colour, kept her look totally sophisticated. The dress hails from designer Aadnevik, who has Kate Beckinsale, Halle Berry and Halsey on the fans list.  A lace dress will always make a statement, especially when styled with a pair Jimmy Choo ‘Chiara’ heels. 9/10

Claire Foy in Oscar De La Renta

The Crown star Claire Foy looked nothing but regal in this emerald green, draped dress by Oscar de la Renta.   The asymmetric folding of the gown gives the piece a flattering fit, with the thigh split adding a sexy edge to the look.   I adore the fringe tassel embellishment, that adds texture to the dress and gives an elongating effect. Finishing the ensemble with Jimmy Choo’s iconic ‘Shiloh’ shoes, I simply can’t fault this look. 9/10

clare foy bafta

Ok that was a tough one to pull with they day I had but I did it 🙂 These were the gowns/suits that caught my eye from the fourth and fifth award show for 2K19 that fell on the same done and dusted … I’m so looking forward to what the come next 🙂
