Travel post #8 | Planning for Lago Di Garda

Hey there my lovelies,

Welcome back to my Blog!

Yep Easter holidays are just around the corner which only means family holiday coming right up as well.  This year we are venturing to Northern Italy – Lake Garda to be precise and it was pretty awesome to see that it has a lot to offer – from the ancient history of its cities to its enchanting lakes and the glistening coastline of the Italian Riviera.  Looking at the south of the Alps, the diverse landscape of mountain slopes and sprawling valleys is just breathtaking.  Truly a region with a wealth of attractions.  Heard through the grapevine that Lake Garda is just the perfect spot for amazing food, wine, adventure and outdoor activities.

Where shall we stay

The village of Peschiera del Garda did it for us, situated at the southern tip of Lake Garda. The town is very picturesque and since there are several hotels, Peschiera del Garda looked like the perfect base for exploring the rest Lake Garda.

Where shall we visit

First full day we opted to start with a full day at Gardaland, which is why we opted to Visit Lake Garda in the first place.  My little has a thing for roller coaster – whilst I am aware that there are rides that he might not be able to go on I think that Gardland is the perfect start of the many theme parks I feel that we will be hopefully visiting.  Also, it a pre-first Hold Communion present 🙂

The next full three days we shall be renting a car to be able to visit as many location around Lake Garda and beyond.  Infact, we have place to visit Verona which is only 30 kilometres (about an hour) from Peschiera del Garda. I might do a full blog post about Verona in the after we come back.  The rest of the days wherein we’ll have the car we are planning to visit Sirmione, Salo, Malcesine, Lasize, Desenzano del Garda, Bardolino and
Garda – not necessarily in this order and hopefully we’ll get to see them all.

Last full day was also going to be a relaxing one, however we came across and interesting day trip to Venice and we just had to go for it so there won’t be much relaxing on that day but super excited to be visiting Venice even though it just a day.

So well there you have our itinerary plans for our upcoming holiday.  Make sure to follow me on Instagram to see what I’ll be up to whilst I’m there and do not forget to follow me here as I will be do detailing posts of all the places we visited.

Have any of you guys been to Lake Garda? If yes, then do not hesitate to drop me some ideas and tips as I would very much love to read them 🙂

Until next time,
