To keep up to the post of finding things to do while in quarantine or self-isolation it is not an easy thing to do as your brain tends to go in shutdown move wherein you feel tired all the time and with absolutely no willingness to wake up and do things. However, the single most important thing to remember in this once in a lifetime circumstance is that all this is temporary and it will pass soon. How soon it all depends on us. We are in control not to let this virus spread. We have to the option to choose between living and at the same time saving other lives with us, or be totally ignorant and stupid and act like nothing will happen to you and spike the curve! Lives are in your hand, be sure to take the right option.
So for those like me who choose life I have search come really cool DIY projects that don’t need much however they can all help elevate that bit of boredom that might be settling in. Get up, get dressed and let’s DIY
Reupholster a Chair
Swapping out a chair seat is shockingly easy—and it takes very little fabric, so you may even already have scraps at home that will work.
You will need:
- Chair with removable seat
- Staple gun
- Upholstery-weight fabric
- Thin fabric for dust cover

Propagate a Plant
Have plants at home? Great news: You can turn them into more plants. Pretty sure that if you have plants you have these around too.

Cover Up an Old Appliance
A personal fave and will definitely keep this in mind when the time comes for my future appliances to g Steal this idea from Danielle Rollins and pretty up your ugly appliances a face lift!
This DIY requires mere your preferred choice of contact paper or vinyl wall paper. A measuring tape and scissors and watch your sad looking appliances get an instant face lift.
Hang Some Art!
What better way to add visual interest to the place you’re holed up in than to hang some art on the walls? I think re-vamping a space and if you want to do something a little different you can also try this plate wall. On House Beautiful I found it is quite self-explanatory. Check link here.

- Measuring Tape
- Your pictures/plates
- Masking Tape

Create Hanging Space
Another personal favorite of mine that I will surely try it out is to add additional space to store your hats, or towels. Or simply you are just in need of extra space this DIY ladder is not only functional, but it’s also got all the industrial cool vibes. You will need:
- 3 wood dowels that are 1 inch in diameter and 48 inches long
- hand saw *If you cut the dowel at a home improvement store, while purchasing, you won’t need this.
- pen or pencil
- measuring stick or tape measure
- hot glue gun and hot glue sticks
- right angle ruler (semi optional)
- scissors and rope (optional)
